Fiction with documentary elements, France, 2012, DCP

With Andréa Brusque, Julia Auchynnikava

How much does a dream cost? Two women in their early twenties, Joane and Sylvia, work as striptease dancers in the city of Orleans. These two modern-day heroines find themselves caught up in the festivities for Joan of Arc that are taking place in the city and it does not take long to see the connection between Joane and the figure of Joan of Arc, her ideal. This 15th century French heroine has be- come everything that Joane craves in life: to become the star of the city of Orleans and to be recognized and cherished by all – a symbol of liberation and freedom.
